The price of green peas is tight! Housewives turn their backs to peas along with retail traders

At present, the vegetables have grown well in the market. However, the green portion is now costing more. Peas have gone up to Rs 200 per kg in the wholesale market. So housewives have preferred not to eat peas. It seems that this pea has been banished in the retail market.

Green peas out of reach due to rising prices

Inflation of vegetables has reached a peak since last two weeks. This has broken the back of the common man. Peas are a regular vegetable in housewives’ feasts. But eating peas available at Rs 200 has become out of reach. Inflows in the APMC wholesale market are underway in the state and there is a gap of two months before the start of the pea season in other states. At present only 4 small cars have entered the market from Satara and only 85 quintals have arrived. Therefore, the prices of distribution in the market today on Saturday are tight. Pea, which was available at Rs 100-120 per kg in the wholesale market on Monday, has now reached Rs 180-200. Hence retailers have adopted a policy of Taana Nako Re Baba while housewives have shown their distaste for peas.

Peas are currently entering the APMC market in the state and only 4 tempos have arrived today. Therefore, the prices of green peas have increased today. Bapu Shewali, a wholesaler in APMS market, informed that it was sold at Rs. 180-200 per kg. Vegetables have become expensive for the last fifteen days. Therefore, the financial budget is collapsing. Now green peas are more expensive. Earlier, 200 rupees was sufficient for a week’s worth of vegetables. Housewife Samidha Tawde has expressed the opinion that eating a single vegetable worth Rs 200 is unaffordable.
