'Watts for Dinner': Sami's offers a rich menu with many flavors

Our next dining destination is Sami's on Marco Island. Since our last visit, this restaurant has added brunch menus, sushi, gyroscopes, etc. It is one of the most widely selected restaurants on the island.

The "Giant Garlic Knot" (6 for $6.49, 12 for $11.99) features a buttery garlic sauce, served with horse-stretch, which is appetizing.

For my main course, I tried something new: Chicken "Island Curry" ($25.99, you can choose shrimp for $26.99). Its specialty is curry paste, which is paired with carrots, potatoes, broccoli, green beans, tomatoes, zucchini, chickpeas and yellow squash. It comes with curry rice and garlic scones.

This is a super delicious dish. Not too spicy. Lots of chicken. The naan is the perfect compliment. Given that this dish is already curry, I think jasmine rice might be better than curry rice. Only my two cents. This dish comes with a side dish salad, or Cesar (Cesar) for a small fee.

My dining partner had grilled chicken pita bread ($18.99). The chicken breast was marinated in a "special spice and oil mixture" and then wrapped in a grilled pita with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce, and served with steak chips. This dish has won praise. I especially like the fries I stole.

We also brought back two medium-sized pizzas, Buffalo ($22.99) and "Ultimate" ($22.99).

Buffalo has a lot of chicken, as well as cheddar and mozzarella cheese, topped with buffalo sauce. It's like a chicken wing pie with cheese. Don't love all kinds of things!

"Ultimate" is a double-crust pizza with mozzarella cheese, spinach, meatballs, pepperoni, roasted red peppers and roasted garlic. I like a great pizza with a crust on top. This pizza is thick and delicious.

Sami's has always been an outstanding performer. It has a full bar, easy to order takeaway and plenty of tables inside and outside. And the service is top-notch. Happy eating!
