7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31. Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. The Flora-Bama is the place to be on New Year’s Eve. Live music on all three stages will be rockin’ until the party stops. Food, party favors and a midnight champagne toast will be sure to contribute to good times as the New Year is rung in, Flora-Bama style. $60. For ages 21 and older. 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. End the year on a high note with the timeless music of Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. Trumpeter and vocalist Byron Stripling returns to the Saenger stage with Grammy nominee Carmen Bradford to take you on a journey that features the hits of two incomparable jazz legends. Government St. Seville’s legendary New Year’s Eve Celebration will feature live entertainment all night long, party favors and a complimentary complex-wide champagne toast at midnight. Midnight Friday, Dec. 31. Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. Keep your eyes focused on the Pensacola Beach skies this New Year’s Eve for a free fireworks display along the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. At the stroke of midnight, a dazzling light display, provided by the beach chamber, will take place overlooking the Santa Rosa Sound from the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1. Juana's Pagodas and Sailors' Grill, 1451 Navarre Beach Causeway, Navarre Beach. Come out and celebrate the first day of the year and “freezin’ for a reason.” The Penguin Plunge ‘n Paddle is a charity event. More info: juanaspagodas.com.

10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1. Pensacola Beach. Join Healthy Gulf for a New Year’s Day beach hike as they celebrate the arrival of 2022 along the shifting sands and waters of Santa Rosa Island. The hike will explore the changing plant communities and life along the shoreline. Participants will learn more about terrestrial and aquatic life by examining what has washed ashore, including seeds, shells, plants, fish, crabs and other items both natural and man-made. Noon Saturday, Jan. 1. Navarre Beach Fishing Pier, 8579 Gulf Blvd., Navarre Beach. Are you ready to take the plunge? This charity event features a plunge into the Gulf of Mexico at the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier followed by an after party at Windjammer’s on the pier. More info: navarrepirateplunge.com.

Noon Saturday, Jan. 1. Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. After celebrating New Year's Eve at the Flora-Bama, start the new year by taking a plunge into the Gulf of Mexico. The Flora-Bama Polar Bear Dip is the event of New Year's Day along the Gulf Coast. Groups and families gather in costume, swimsuits and wet suits to feel the salt water on their face. Those who fully submerge in the Gulf will get a free draft beer and a free New Year's lunch of ham, black-eyed peas, greens and cornbread. More info: 850-492-0611 or florabama.com.

2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1. Paradise Bar & Grill, 21 Via de Luna Drive, Pensacola Beach. Head to Pensacola Beach and plunge headfirst into the Santa Rosa Sound at the annual Polar Bear Plunge. Hundreds of dippers and spectators — many dressed in costume — flock to the beach to participate in this long-established tradition. Registration begins at noon and the fee is $15. Participants will receive a Polar Bear Plunge T-shirt or a $10 registration donation to participate without the T-shirt and $5 Cub Club for ages fifth grade and under. 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. The biggest bar and restaurant employee event of the year returns. Have your bar/restaurant/nightclub holiday party with Seville as they celebrate post-New Year's Eve. Dress to impress. Black tie is preferred. No jeans.
